I just browsed through the Pakistani Sub and it is Chaos over there, I was glad to see some moderate voices for Peace, but most were deriding Indians as Cowards and Baying for blood. It does not help that Civilians were, Allegedly, harmed.

I fear we may be stepping closer towards total War against Pakistan, I hope I am wrong, but there will be retaliation and they too may target Cities in the name of Revenge.

If my mom and dad were alive , they'd have got dark flashbacks of the 1971 war( where they'd have to run to dug up grounds and bunker like areas for more than 10 days since our sour neighbours wanted to attack the financial capital mumbai) . I’m an American with no ties to India or Pakistan.  But I remember who hid Osama bin Laden.  I’ve seen what other, similar terrorist groups have done in countries ranging from Nigeria to the Philippines, Israel, and my own USA. I agree. Also people cheering for war sitting thousands of kilometres away from the border should know what's actually happening in poonch. And no media channel is even reporting that. Go to twitter and you will see horrendous images, one where the skull of a kid is shot open, another where a blood drawn body of a kid is being taken to hospital. So please stop cheering for war. It's so easy to be a war spectator but it's not easy to be at the frontlines and be the families of those at frontlines.

All other conditions remaining same, If Pakistan and Kashmir were 100% Buddhist, would there still be terrorism in Kashmir?

Ask yourself this question. If you answer Yes, and logically the only rational answer is yes, you would realize that the cause of terrorism is not religion but Pakistan's territorial ambitions in Kashmir and their failing as a functional state. 

However most people will not think so rationally and stereotyping and believing in an US vs THEM mindset makes people feel better about themselves. I am afraid in India now critical thinking is a losing battle and if you try to speak rationally you will just be shouted down by the zealots.

Show them the two ladies who briefed on Operation Sindoor. One of them is Muslim. In the Armed Forces, these things don't matter - they are Indians, but your parents need to be shown such examples.

Tell them that if not for a certain Indian Muslim called APJ Abdul Kalam, we would not have the defence apparatus we have, including our nuclear capabilities. 

There are many more you can list on your own. Nationalist Muslims have contributed way more to India than many Hindus who are keyboard warriors.

Ambedkar was highly critical of Islam's radical elements and he has written about in his book Pakistan or the Partition of India. I would suggest everyone to read it who wants to get an unbiased view of the events that led to partition.

The same Ambedkar had made a sarcastic comment saying Hindus attach to their Hindu identity only when they fear Islamists and otherwise, they perpetuate their divisions &amp; biases among themselves. His words stand true even today.

I don’t mean to rile anyone up, but my parents used to work with the delhi government areas that were muslim dominated. Sharing a few incidents - 
- during a house to house polio drive, muslim families would shun the medical staff away from their homes, saying that this polio medicine is a poison to kill our children. Unless OUR PRESIDENT MUSHARRAF doesn’t say that it’s okay for us to consume polio medication, we won’t allow you to administer it to our children. 

Only after polio medication was made a mandate by Saudi for Hajj, then muslims in india largely started complying with polio medication 

- on multiple occasions, my parents have heard the speeches of priests in mosques (thanks to the loudspeakers /s) and you can’t imagine how vile it gets. Everything is mentioned, with the broad them being domination and spread of islam. Mind you - these are mosques which are attended by poor/lower classes, and THIS is the ideology being peddled to them

In a nutshell, most Muslims are peaceful people, and then there are radical islamists, a small fraction of Muslims globally that resort to terrorism and insurgency, but there is a significant number of Muslims that are a non-active and potential threat. They’re not pro-India. Let’s not mistake them to be neutral. 

Let’s also not forget the number of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Pakistan in our country who are upto God knows what agenda. Sure, some of them may have come here for a better life, but not all of them.
